About the Role
Position Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Part-Time Social & Life Skills Development Instructors to lead interactive and educational sessions in various life skills areas. The job location will vary depending on the facilities and school contracts with our company. Instructors will conduct school-based programs, ensuring engaging and meaningful experiences for students.

- Cultural Exchange & Language Learning (French, Spanish, Mandarin)
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, hands-on lessons that develop essential life skills.
- Teach leadership, communication, financial literacy, and other key skills in an interactive manner.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment for students.
- Adapt teaching approaches to accommodate different learning styles and age groups.
- Inspire students to become confident, responsible, and independent individuals.
- Collaborate with school staff and Apex Enrichment Academy coordinators to ensure program success.
- Travel to different school locations based on program assignments.
Qualifications:
- Experience in teaching, coaching, or mentoring in one or more of the listed areas.
- Passion for working with children and helping them develop essential life skills.
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create dynamic and engaging lesson plans.
- Flexibility to work at different school locations during after-school hours.
All applicants must provide two mandatory background checks before commencing employment:
-Child Abuse Register (CAR) Check: Verifies that the applicant's name is not listed on Nova Scotia's Child Abuse Register.
-Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC): An enhanced criminal record check conducted by local police or the RCMP.
Both checks must be current—conducted within the past two years—and submitted before the employment start date. Failure to provide these documents will result in ineligibility for the position. These requirements align with Nova Scotia's Early Learning and Child Care Regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of children in care.
Salary:
The hourly wage for this position ranges from $20.00 to $34.00, based on experience and qualifications.
