About the Role
Position Overview:
We are seeking passionate and skilled Part-Time Arts & Creativity Instructors to lead engaging classes in different artistic disciplines. The job location will vary depending on the facilities and school contracts with our company. Instructors will be assigned to school-based programs, ensuring structured and high-quality sessions for young learners.

- Visual Arts: Drawing & Painting (Watercolor, Acrylic, Sketching)
- Arts & Crafts: DIY Projects, Recycled Art
- Pottery & Clay Modeling
- Digital Art & Animation
- Drama & Theatre Club
- Music Lessons: Guitar, Piano, Drumming, Violin
- Singing & Choir Club
- Photography & Video Editing
- Creative Writing & Storytelling
- Book Club & Reading Programs
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate creative arts sessions.
- Teach fundamental and advanced techniques in the respective discipline.
- Encourage self-expression, creativity, and confidence in students.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and skill levels.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that inspires artistic growth.
- Collaborate with school staff and Apex Enrichment Academy coordinators to maintain program quality.
- Travel to different school locations based on program assignments.
Qualifications:
- Experience in teaching or professional practice in one or more of the listed disciplines.
- Passion for working with children and fostering creativity.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to create fun and engaging lesson plans.
- Flexibility to work at different school locations during after-school hours.
All applicants must provide two mandatory background checks before commencing employment:
-Child Abuse Register (CAR) Check: Verifies that the applicant's name is not listed on Nova Scotia's Child Abuse Register.
-Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC): An enhanced criminal record check conducted by local police or the RCMP.
Both checks must be current—conducted within the past two years—and submitted before the employment start date. Failure to provide these documents will result in ineligibility for the position. These requirements align with Nova Scotia's Early Learning and Child Care Regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of children in care.
Salary:
The hourly wage for this position ranges from $20.00 to $34.00, based on experience and qualifications.
